1. About Nerix

Nerix is a Chrome extension that helps people communicate more clearly. When you paste a message you have received, Nerix uses AI to generate Safe, Confident and Direct reply options.

This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use Nerix and the Nerix website at getnerix.com, and how that information is handled.

2. Information We Process

Depending on how you use Nerix, the following types of information may be processed:

• Message content — the message you paste into the Nerix extension when generating a reply.
• Optional context — any additional context you choose to provide before generating a reply.
• Selected mode — the communication goal you choose (for example, Push back, Sound confident or Make concise).
• Website form submissions — your name, email address and any message or feedback you voluntarily submit through the Nerix website.
• Analytics data — standard usage information collected when you visit the Nerix website.
• Payment information — if you subscribe to Nerix Plus, payment details are handled by Stripe.

Nerix does not read your clipboard automatically, does not track your browsing history and does not read the content of pages you visit.

3. How Message Content Is Used

When you generate a reply using the Nerix extension, your message, optional context and selected mode are securely transmitted to Nerix's backend hosted on Render, and then sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, solely for the purpose of generating the requested replies.

Nerix does not intentionally store your pasted message content or generated replies in its application database.

Please note that Anthropic processes your message in order to generate a response. For information on how Anthropic handles data, please refer to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

4. Website Forms

If you submit your name, email address or a message through the Nerix website — for example, to join the early access list or submit a feature request — that information may be stored in Supabase and used to send you a notification or follow-up email via Resend.

We will only contact you in connection with your submission and will not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Analytics

The Nerix website uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. This may include information such as pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and interaction events.

This data is collected in aggregate and is used to improve the website. Google Analytics has its own privacy practices, which you can review at policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Payments

Payments for Nerix Plus subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Nerix does not directly handle or store full payment card details. Stripe may collect billing, payment and contact information in accordance with Stripe's Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Service Providers

Nerix relies on the following third-party services to operate:

• Anthropic — AI reply generation. Message content is sent to Anthropic's API to produce replies.
• Render — backend API hosting.
• Supabase — storage for website form submissions.
• Resend — transactional email and notifications.
• Stripe — subscription payment processing.
• Google Analytics — website usage analytics.
• Google Fonts — font delivery for the website.
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.

Each of these providers operates under its own privacy policy and data handling practices. We have linked to the relevant policies where available above.

8. Data Retention

• Pasted message content and generated replies are not intentionally retained by Nerix after a reply is generated.
• Website form submissions may be retained in Supabase until deleted.
• Email data passed through Resend may be retained according to Resend's own policies.
• Analytics data may be retained according to Google Analytics configuration and policies.
• Infrastructure providers such as Render and Vercel may retain standard operational logs for a limited period.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information processed through Nerix. Data transmitted between the extension, our backend and third-party providers is sent over encrypted connections.

However, no system is completely free of risk. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.

10. Your Choices and Rights

If you have submitted personal information through the Nerix website, you may contact us to:

• Ask what personal information Nerix holds about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your personal information where applicable.
• Ask any questions about how your information is handled.

11. Children

Nerix is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@getnerix.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at getnerix.com/privacy. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
